Having studied with world-renowned conductors including Helmuth Rilling, Masaaki Suzuki, and David Hill, Dr. Andrew Hon has been frequently invited as a conductor, presenter, and clinician in North America, Europe, and Hong Kong. His articles can be found in the peer-reviewed Choral Journal, Anacrusis of Choral Canada, and The Choral Scholar and his voice can be heard on several professionally recorded albums published by Hyperion Records and ATMA Classique. His most recent professional engagements (since 2022) include being the conductor for Hong Kong Institute of Technology commencement ceremony, clinician for Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival 2024, conducting masterclass teacher for Music Children Foundation, and adjudicator for music competitions including Hong Kong Children & Youth Piano Contest (2023 & 2024), Osaka International Music Competition (Hong Kong Region) 2024, and the 8th (Taiwan) Asia Aegean Music International Competition - Hong Kong & Macau Preliminary Round 2024.

Dr. Hon holds a doctorate in choral conducting from McGill University and master’s degrees in choral conducting and sacred music from the University of Cincinnati and from Yale University. He also holds a B.A. degree in music with distinction from the University of California, Berkeley and PGDE from Hong Kong Baptist University. Dr. Hon is currently Director of Music and Performing Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School, the inaugural Artistic Director of the Hong Kong McGill Alumni Choir, and a member of the Sha Tin Arts and Culture Promotion Committee.

韓博士擁有加拿大麥基爾大學合唱指揮博士學位、辛辛那提大學音樂學院和耶魯大學合唱指揮及聖樂碩士學位。 他以優異的成績獲得加州大學柏克萊分校音樂學士學位和香港浸會大學音樂教育文憑。韓博士現為香港浸會大學附屬學校王錦輝中小學音樂及表演藝術總監、香港麥基爾大學校友合唱團首任藝術總監及沙田文化及藝術推廣委員會委員。
