Ms. Wong Stephanie See Wing
Wong Stephanie See Wing has first
been introduced to Chinese flute in 1998 and have fallen in
love in this instrument ever since. She learned from two
renowned musicians, Mr Yim Koon-Fat and Mr Chu Siu-Wai.
During her secondary school years, she has gained numerous
performance experiences, including performing in the
Australia and the United States of America with the St
Paul’s Convent School Chinese Orchestra as the principal in
both wind section and and soloist. She has participated in
the Hong Kong School Speech and Music Festival in 2003 and
has won 2nd runner-up in the Chinese Flute intermediate
level solo competition. She then continued her studies in
Bachelor Degree in Public Administration in the Hong Kong
Polytechnic University, Foundation Certificate of Music
Therapy and Postgraduate Diploma in Arts Administration(Arts
and Creative Industries) under the University of Hong Kong.
She was determined to promote Chinese music by forming
varies Chinese Orchestras, such as the St Paul’s Convent
School Alumni Chinese Orchestra, which aims at providing
volunteer shows for the elderlies; the Triad Dizi Orchestra,
which is a Chinese flute orchestra. She was later being
voted to become the Secretary of the Hong Kong Chinese
Instrumental Music Association. She is an activist amongst
the amateur Chinese orchestras in Hong Kong and has
participated in the Yao Yue Chinese Orcheatra, the Hong Kong
Youth Association Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong City Chinese
Orchestra, Hong Kong Polytechnic University Chinese
Orchestra, Hong Kong Hospital Authority Chinese Orchestra.
She has also performed with the orchestras in other
countries, such as Mainland China, Japan, France, United
States of America, England,Australia and Malaysia.
She is a dedicated Chinese Flute tutor in Hong Kong and has
taught in many schools and music centres. She was later
awarded Outstanding Musical Instrument Tutor by the Hong
Kong International Youth Performing Arts Festival in 2015.
